Metal Deck Shop Drawing for Approval Process
Our process begins with fast and direct communication with our customers and stakeholders to ensure maximum productivity and timeliness. The metal deck shop drawing process is as outlined below.
1. Approval Drawings
Our detailer incorporates information provided from structural drawings and EOR into a metal deck approval plan.
2. Sent To Customer
The metal deck "shop drawings" or placement approval plan is sent to customer to be sent to the EOR.
3. EOR Reviews
The EOR reviews for design and metal deck specific questions needed for manufacturing & installation.
4. Approved or Resubmit
The EOR either "Approves" the metal deck drawings or requests to "Revise & Resubmit" the drawings.
5. BOMs
Our detailer creates bills of material for metal deck fabrication based off the approved metal deck plans and EOR’s comments.
6. OMD Review
Bills of material are reviewed for the project specific details.
7. Fabrication & Delivery
The project is placed in the plants fabrication schedule and the material is delivered to the customer to their requested schedule
8. Field Use Plans
Final metal deck plans are sent to the customer that include all the necessary information needed by the installation or erector team in the field.
